I essentially left the church (I'm technically less active), being all-but-excommunicated (which NEVER happened, regardless of what Anyone says) because my own mission president stole my personal effects from me, lied about me, had my companion steal from me (I'd never name you, don't worry - but if anyone ever asks you, man-up!) Prez had the gaul to tell me he didn't, so I showed him where in his office he'd hidden some of my stolen belongings. Then he left me *zero* time left to say goodbye to any friends/comps - not even so much as 5 minutes to shop before I left the country. The very few who snuck into airport against the tyrant's edicts to say goodbye to me had but minutes to say goodbye to me before I was to depart. He even had my companion destroy the personal letters and tapes from my fiance. That was the beginning of the bitterness. Matthew Reynolds is the reason I remained sane throughout it all, God Bless him. Now people like Maldonado, who care far too much for the letter of the law over the spirit of the law, have convinced even Matthew -- i'll be very polite -- to leave the church.
